DIGITAL ARTISTS NEEDED


MeniThings director Aristomenis Tsirbas is looking for talented digital artists interested in becoming part of a dynamic team that will help create his next theatrical feature film.

CRITERIA/Current openings:
- Ability to relocate to Los Angeles or currently reside there.
- We are looking for team players; energetic, resourceful and those that welcome the challenges and rewards of independent production.
- we are looking for Alias Maya and Luxology modo savvy Artists, although character animators proficient in any 3D software are welcome. Lightwave Generalists  with production experience are also needed as well as compositors proficient in Shake or Digital fusion.
-There are positions open for skilled CG Supervisors experienced in set supervision and 3D workflow for digital production.

What do we look for in an employment application?

Candidates must attach to their resume a brief cover letter indicating their area's) of interest. In case more than one please highlight preferred one. Artistic positions require a reel and a reel breakdown.
All material submitted (reel or portfolio) should be of high quality.
Do not send CG reel printouts. DO NOT submit original works, as we are unable to return materials sent to us.

What do we look for in a demo reel or portfolio?

To evaluate candidate?s artistic capabilities it is required to submit a demo reel or portfolio. All applicant information is kept on file for at least one year although new information is welcome to be received at least after 6 months.

Please, take the following in consideration:

When preparing the material please

Put in only your quality work
Put best work first on reel.
Short and good better than long and mediocre
Keep it short (Reel: about 3 to 4 minutes / Portfolio: About 20 pages).
Only display your capabilities and clearly indicate your role on group projects.
Focus your work in one area, your area of biggest interest.

And please never?

Send inappropriate or plagiarized material.
Show work you don?t want to be asked to do.
Show work that shouldn?t be reviewed yet.

Demo Reels specific consideration:

Send demo reels in DVD (region-free) or CD with Quicktime
or Xvid codecs
Label your CD or DVD
Include a reel break down.
